In September, we established routines and procedures to help us work in a thriving learning environment. We implemented speaking, listening, and speaking centers. Students worked in groups and were assigned jobs to develop teamwork and foster a joyful classroom community. We practiced conversational sentences and learned a song about the classroom community.
We also started our BOY assessment to determine students' knowledge of basic topics such as the alphabet, numbers, days of the month, seasons, weather, etc.
In October, we will begin our new unit, "School Environment". During this unit, we will cover classroom supplies, classroom objects, and places at school. Students will send home materials for review and practice.
